摘要

Distance measurement method based on a ReceivedrnSignal Strength Indicator (RSSI) is commonly applied inrnthe range-based positioning field. This paper presents twornapproaches which are weighted centroid localization andrnBayesian-based location.rnBy analyzing the existing radio frequency technology forrnthe distance measurement, the paper presented a newrnweighted centroid localization algorithm. As for therndistribution of nodes in a specific environment for indoorrnpositioning, it considers the Beacon nodes with therndifferent influence of the target nodes to determinerndifferent weighting factors.rnBayesian-based location is a representative of thernfingerprinting method. By analyzing the Signal statisticalrncharacteristic, Gaussian probability distribution is usedrnfor sampling point.Both approaches are implemented at ZigBee platformrnwith the accuracy of meters in a short distance.
