Considering the emergence of more and more distributerngeneration (DG) units and based on the conception ofrnvirtual power plant (VPP), this paper aims to illustraterntwo kinds of real time control strategy in dispatchingrnactive power among DG units. One is the simplicityrnautomatic control approach, and the other is the efficiencyrnautomatic control approach. The optimization accountingrnfor the DG capacity constraints, and equilibrium betweenrngenerated power and load, is well solved by the interiorpointrnapproach. It can be concluded from the simulationrnresults that, by using the efficiency automatic controlrnapproach, the efficiency of VPP including three DG unitsrncould be significantly improved compared to the using ofrnsimplicity automatic control approach.
