The diagnosis and treatment of urinary system aspergillosis (Report of 5 cases)

From 1993 to 1997, 5 cases of the urinary system aspergillosis were reported. 3 of which were infected by the Aspergillus flavus, 2 of which were infected by the Aspergillus fumigdtus. All atients were male. Age ranged from 27 years old to 62 years old with a mean of 43.6 years old. The pathogenic factors were as follows: 1 case with the diabetes, 1 case took long broad-spectrum antibiotic, 1 case with the hyperplasia of prostate and 2 cases with the hepatitis took long adrenocortical hormone. The sympomatic feature: All patients showed a ureterolithoid renal colic and a depletion of the cotton-woodoid things. 3 patients with the hydronephrosis occured. 2 cases with the anuria caused the acute obstruction of the ureter occurreed. Treatments were as follows: The pathogenic factors were eliminated, the immunocompetence w as increased. 1 case was cured with fluonazole, 3 case were cured with itraconazole, 1 case cured with terpbinafine. We sum experience of the diagnosis and treatment of the urinary system aspergillosis as follows.
