Hydrodynamic elastic response analysis of ship hulls consideringrnslamming impact loads due to the voyage in large amplitude regularrnand irregular waves is conducted. Ship hull structures are modeled asrnelastic body on the base of Timoshenko's beam theory. The momentumrnslamming theory is used to derive nonlinear hydrodynamic forcesrnconsidering the intersection between wave particles and ship section.rnThe hydrodynamic coefficients are derived in time domain consideringrnthe memory effect, which numeric approach was proposed byrnXia(1998). The irregular waves are represented in time domain usingrnsingle summation method and ISSC wave spectrum. From therndeveloped program, we can obtain the various design information suchrnas time histories of relative displacement, velocity, acceleration,rnvertical shear force, and vertical bending moment of all sections of shiprninvolving the effects of slamming.
