The progress of Copernicus projects into initialrnoperative services is showing the complexity andrnoperational bottlenecks in satellite data supply: as endrnusers put forward requests and activations for EarthrnOvservation (EO) based services, providers face thernthresholds of requirements such as responsiveness orrnspectral capabilities. To develop the “S” of securityrnwithin GMES-COPERNICUS, ESA has (ⅰ) valued thernEO needs roadmap, (ⅱ) assessed data accessrninfrastructure options, (ⅲ) explored the concepts ofrnoperation and (ⅳ) defined architectural system lay outs.rnGMV has undertaken an analysis of user requirementsrnfor security and presented a technical solution for arnsystem of systems coordinated data access in the short,rnmedium and long term up to 2025.
