BRUSHLESS DC MOTOR SELECTION

摘要

Both peak and rms load requirements were developed for a triangular velocity profile with a rest state. A feedscrew with motor gearing was considered for generating linear load motion. Peak torque requirements for the motor were calculated from the given velocity profile, load, and inertia. The needed rms torque was calculated to make sure the motor could run within given thermal limits. The motor selection process was developed in a spreadsheet to allow use of an existing motor data base. Motor selection was made using conditional checks on all motors in the data base.
