Electric motor rewind repair methods exist which can reduce turnaround time and post-repair electrical costs, and increase end-user productivity and reliability. Time improvements are realized, in areas where the stator is "idle" in an oven, by an average of 85%. Faster turnaround times mean less end-user down-time, especially in critical processes, and improved end-user profits. As mechanical stripping methods do not compromise the core, computerized winding maintains impedance balance, and trickle varnishing assists with cooling, there is no reduction in motor efficiency. No reduction in motor efficiency denotes maintained electrical operating costs. Alternate methods also increase the reliability of the motor through longer operating periods following repair due to longer bearing and insulation life.
