Using the Visual Basic development tool kit, thernauthors have developed a highly interactive graphicalrninterfáce to an hourly energy simulation model forrnestimating annual energy consumption in buildings.rnThe software, named ENER-WIN, features an interfácernprogram that calls and controls the execution of thernenergy simulation model and the weather datarnprocessor. The software will run on Pccompatiblernmicrocomputers under the Windows operating system.rnIntended users of the software are architects, buildingrndesigners, engineers, energy code officials, and utilityrncompany personnel. The program can be utilized forrnnew building designs, retrofit designs, or energy coderncompliance checking; and will perform HVACrnequipment sizing, monthly utility bill estimates, annual,rnenergy budgets, peak load demand charges, and arnpresent worth life-cycle cost analysis for the buildingrnfácility.
