Slotted Core Fiber Ribbon Cable Containing G.657 Fibers Used for FTTX Construction

In the coming few years, G.657 fiber will become the mainstreamrnproduct for FTTX network construction, to take full advantage ofrnthe fiber, slotted core fiber ribbon cable containing G.657 fibers isrnproposed in this paper, which can combine the predominances of thernboth elements and facilitate FTTX network construction. Due to arnlot of advantages such as small size and bending radius, good crushrnresistence, absence of gel, employment of slotted core fiber ribbonrncable containing G.657 fibers can reduce the cost of installation andrnlong-term maintenance. The cable structure as well as therntemperature performance and mechanical performance of the cablernis introduced in the paper.
