摘要

This paper proposes an adaptive testing system with a MVC framework for the IEEE floating-point standard. The proposed system is a web-based application and developed by Java technologies. Mainly, the proposed system is illustrated by two parts: a technical part and an educational part. In the technical viewpoint, the design and implementation of the proposed system is discussed including the framework design and the information technologies used in this study. In the educational viewpoint, how the knowledge structure of the IEEE floating-point standard is established with the key concepts of the standard. In addition, the mechanism of the adaptive testing is also presented with a concept transition diagram.
