In this paper, electrohydraulic proportional control system of thermal hydraulic press, a special test machine of wood, is taken as researching object, and one kind of full closed loop electrohydraulic proportional position control system is introduced. Based on the fluid mechanics and control theory, the mathematical model of the system is established. the system's dynamic and static characteristics are also discussed. The results show under the condition to design properly proportional valve can substitute for servo valve in general industry for civil use, which can improve system's reliability and economic effectiveness.
