摘要

In the present paper, the service life of RC pipe pile exposed to marine environments is predicted considering the crack effect on the chloride diffusion.The diffusion mechanism is mathematically described using the partial differential equation of the Fick's second law.The governing equation of chloride diffusion into RC pipe pile is solved analytically by using the Bessel functions.The equivalent diffusion coefficient through cracked RC pipe pile is derived by dividing the total chloride diffusion flux of cracked RC pipe pile into two flows, and the threshold chloride content is estimated from a wide review of previous experimental studies.Furthermore, an illustrative example of analytical method is demonstrated by predicting service life of cracked RC pipe pile exposed to marine environments.The effects of widths, inclined angles and number of cracks on chloride diffusion coefficient, chloride concentration profiles and service life of cracked RC pipe piles are also analyzed, respectively.
