Geopolymers are a novel family of inorganic polymeric materials whose principalrnconstituents are silicon, aluminum, oxygen, sodium or potassium and water with uniquernproperties that make them promising candidates in several engineering applications. Tworngeopolymeric samples of the Na-PSS and Na-PSDS families with Si/Al ratios of 1.8 and 6.1rnwere synthesized using low-cost commercially available materials and cured at 65℃ for 90rnminutes. Experimental techniques were used to measure the thermal diffusivity, specific heat andrnthermal conductivity on both samples. Results shown that in both cases the measured propertiesrnare lower than some common engineering materials and the thermal conductivity shows a linearrnvariation with respect to temperature for the Na-PSDS sample.
