Ceramic tungstates bring interest in many technological areas due to diversifiedrnapplications as photoanodes, fluorescent lamps and optical fibers. Besides this, luminescentrnproperties bring new possibilities of research in the search for new materials. In this work,rntungstates with the molecular formula Ca_xSr_(1-x)WO_4 (x = 0, 0.2, 0.4, 0.6, 0.8 e 1.0) werernsynthesized using Pechini method. This method leads to homogeneous materials, due to a cationrnmixture in atomic level. Characterization was done by X ray diffraction (XRD), infraredrnabsorption spectroscopy (IR) and thermal analysis – thermogravimetry (TG) and differentialrnthermal analysis (DTA). Carbonate formation was observed by thermal analysis and infraredrnspectroscopy. Crystallization was studied by DTA analysis and XRD.
