Elderly care is one of the important issues in the medical mature of the time facing all over the world. Currently, the paper-based testing and recording methods are commonly used in various care centers which not only waste manpower but also may cause mistakes with different social workers in assessment. This study aims at measuring the cognitive function of elderly by the empirical research approach. In accordance with several research results, they indicate that game-style learning and gymnastics awareness training can be useful to slow down degeneration. Therefore, we attempt to develop a game-based cognitive measures system on the basis of Mini-Mental State Examination (MMSE) to examine functions including registration, attention and calculation, recall, language, ability to follow simple commands and orientation. The system consists of two major modules, one is game-based measures system and another is Web-based management system. We expect that the game-based measures system will motivate elders during examination and reduce mistakes from manpower process. Most importantly, the Web-based management system will cost down efforts in tracking and analyzing personal status of elders. The experimental results show that the score of game-based measures is correspondence to the traditional MMSE.
