A distributed CAN bus system is introduced to meet the demand of real time capability and reliability on an intelligence traffic sign control system. The hardware interface including processor STM32F207 based on ARM Cortex-M3 core and CAN transceiver SN65HVD230 is described. Detailed discussions are made on the general method of bus driver designing in μ;C/OS-III, the relevant key technology including initialization, data structure, interrupt design and filter configuration is illuminated. The CAN bus driver is verified correctly and practicability through the experiment. The result analysis shows that it is more reliability, stability and higher efficiency.
