A Survey and Comparative Analysis of Quality of Talent Training in Local Undergraduate Colleges

Based on the perspective of students, an empirical study was carried out on the quality of talent training in colleges through questionnaire survey. The result shows that: the students are positive toward the majors they choose; personal interest and the prospect of the occupation influence students' professional choice; simple teaching method and obsolete teaching content are the prominent problems; students' need of social practice is relatively high; credit system based on elective system and major changing system needs further reform; the quality of professionals' training needs further improving. Finally, suggestions on improving the quality of local undergraduate institutions are put forward: integrating professional curriculum; improving the system of social practice; focus on the development of professional teaching content.
