摘要

The muzzle velocity of artillery is affected by many factors. Erosion wear of barrel is the most direct one. When the decrement of muzzle velocity reaches the decline of 10%, hit probability of artillery will drop 64%. And we can determine that the barrel can no more be used. This paper put forward that to predict the muzzle velocity of barrel by using grey system theory .It establish GM (1,1) model based on a small amount of effective muzzle velocity value by measuring more than 4 cannonballs to get the mathematical formula of muzzle velocity and the number of projectiles, so as to judge the maximum number of projectiles at the end of barrel life.
