The objective of this study is to develop an analysisrnmodel for evaluating dynamic characteristics of designedrnactive prosthetic feet. We will propose the specificrnevaluation method which can provide detailed analysisrnneeded in the designing stage to make a noble prostheticrnfeet using dynamic simulation model of stance phase ofrngait and some quantities can evaluate the dynamicrnperformance of feet directly. Most of the active prostheticrnfeet are using carbon composite materials. The cores ofrndesigning the keel are shapes like as thickness andrncurvature of side shape and the methods of lay-up fibers.rnThe simulation model is using FEM model which supplyrnfine deformation analysis and stress-strain analysisrnbecause this study focused at the shape designing.rnThe gait experiments and analyses about trans-tibialrnamputee using several active feet were performed and wernhave found out that the relationships between the anklernangles and the ground reaction forces might be arnperformance evaluation reference of the dynamicrncompliance of the keel.rnThis study is our first stage of development of modelsrnfor stance phase dynamic characteristics of prosthetic feetrnand we will find out more effective estimation referencesrnongoing studies.
