摘要

Rise time, fall time, width, amplitude and repetition rate of PD pulses have been measured as a function of tree growth time in small samples of XLPE cable using a UWB detection method. The results indicate that as the tree grows rise time, fall time and pulse width increase. Over the same period, the magnitudes tend to become more concentrated about a single value. These data appear to be consistent with the appearance of a single channel close to failure.
