A computer simultion has been developed to examine charge polarisation and depolarisation processes in a dielelctric On simple trials were the carriers motion is defined by a single activation energy the model seems to be well behaved with an accurate correlation between the results derived from transient and TSDC measurements. The model is now going to be applied to systems were the charge carriers have more than one activation energy to explore how accurately the underlying behaviour of the system can be derived from current transients and TSDC spectra.
