1. Treeing performance of EPR at cryogenic temperature is much superior compared to that at room temperature, both with metal and semi-conducting needles. This is a very encouraging result from the point of view of application of EPR as cryogenic cable insulation.rn2. The difference in fractal behaviour at room and cryogenic temperatures appears to point towards a difference in growth dynamics. This may be attributed to difference in space-charge and partial discharge activities responsible for tree initiation and growth.
