摘要

When low moisture conditions were evaluated, the gaseous products found were CF_4, CO_2, SO_2 and SOK_2. Under high moisture conditions, SO_2F_2 was detected as an additional component to the others. The products, in decreasing order of abundance, were SOF_2, SO_2, CF_4, CO, and SO_2F_2. The results are very similar to those obtained with the MS technique. Insulating materials, PTFE and nylon, were degraded in the vicinity of the arc. Under severe arc conditions and high concentration of decomposition products, the surface resistance of these materials suffers an important degradation.
