摘要

We present an efficient monolithically integrated optoelectronic parallel-to-serial converter (PSC) for 100-Gbps (25-Gbps × 4-lambda) optical packets. Based on an enhanced optical differential triggering scheme, the PSC generates NRZ-like output pulses whereas each PSC channel repeatedly converts a new input signal every 640 ps. Moreover to eliminate the need for external amplifiers, the PSC is designed to operate with LVDS input signals. Experimental results are presented for the new device at 25-Gbps.
