The Alabama Department of Environmental Management published their risk-based corrctive action guidance in the spring of 1998. The Alabama Risk-Based Corrective Action (ARBCA) p[rocess for releases from underground storage tanks had een under development since 1995. The development proces sinvolved: Staff training on the philosophy and principles of RBCA Selection of key policy choices Performance of approximately 20 demonstration projects Staff training on fate and transport models Development of the draft ARBCA guidance manual forreview by PIRI stakeholders and the publication of the final document Development of the ARBCA software Staff training for ARBCA On-goring consultant trainingq
