Parallel and Serial issues for a Lattice Boltzmann Method code: a performance point of view

摘要

A detailed analysis of serial and parallel performance, using OpenMP, of a Lattice Boltzmann Method (LBM) code is presented. The aim is to show how different implementations/algorithms of the same numerical scheme could present different serial and parallel performance on different present day systems, improving or reducing total efficiency and hence applicability.
