This paper aims to compare environmental impacts between a proposed local-only seafood system and the current seafood consumption in Japan (mostly from imported and non-local sources) under Osaka Prefecture case study. Furthermore, weighting factors to monetize human health and ecosystem quality impacts are also introduced.
