摘要

A novel salt for lithium ion battery electrolytes, lithium tetrafluorooxalatophosphate (LiPF_4(C_2O_4), has been prepared and investigated. The conductivity, electrochemical stability, and cycling performance of 1.0 M LiPF_4(C_2O_4) in 1:1:1 ethylene carbonate:dimethyl carbonate:diethyl carbonate are comparable to the industry standard LiPF_6 electrolyte. However, the LiPF_4(C_2O_4) electrolyte has much better thermal stability. LiPF_4(C_2O_4) electrolytes are a promising alternative for lithium ion batteries.
