IS Evaluation as Knowledge Management - A New Way Ahead for e-Business?

This paper outlines a new perspective on IS evaluation that positions it as a knowledge management exercise thus immediately elevating IS evaluation to a level where it could be taken more seriously by higher management. Furthermore, with businesses transforming themselves into e-organisations, getting better value from IT investments and business process redesign through IT are increasing becoming critical endeavours. It is argued here that using the knowledge management approach to IS evaluation, organisations are better able to achieve these two aims and to measure the extent to which they have done so.
