NOVEL HYBRID STRUCTURAL ADHESIVES FOR BONDING OF HIGH PERFORMANCE MATERIALS

Triangle Polymer Technologies specializes in the development novel, hybrid polymer material solutions for high performance applications. Our design concepts encompass not only materials development, but advanced engineering and production capabilities as well. We have developed a family of novel, hybrid structural adhesives that have performance advantages over traditional structural adhesives. A synthesized, polymeric hybrid of epoxy, urethane and acrylic has allowed for the achievement of physical properties not available from the base chemistries; accentuating the positive attributes while minimizing the negative attributes. Based on this high performance chemistry, we have developed novel cure mechanics that allow for innovative application and curing methods. The development of novel structural fastening methodologies and adhesive materials will greatly enhance the ability to bond high performance materials easily, safely and more economically than many current state of the art methods. In addition, the elimination of the high costs associated with heated fixturing and refrigerated storage may be possible based on these novel adhesives.
