Another outcome if the NA TO Advanced Study Institute was the identification of a number of areas in which risk assessment, risk management, and the understanding of risk perceptions are in their infancy. This chapter suggests possible directions for the future of these disciplines in meeting the challenges of managing Cold War legacies.
