Electrochemical features of LiNi_(0.33+δ)Mn_(0.33+δ)Co_(0.33-2δ)O_2 (0≤ δ ≤ 0.075) oxides (LNMCOs) have been studied as a function of the composition. The cation mixing was characterized by a set of methods including Rietveld refinement of XRD patterns and magnetic experiments. It is observed that the decreasing amount of cobalt favouring the presence of Ni~(2+) ions in the Li(36) site affects the electrochemical performance of lithium-ion cells.
