Vibration Study for the New Addition at St. Luke’s Medical Center in Milwaukee, Wisconsin

The St. Luke’s Medical Center Cardiac Center and Patient Tower Project inrnMilwaukee, Wisconsin consists of constructing a multi-story structure over anrnexisting parking garage. Structural Affiliates International, Inc. was retained tornanalyze the structural system conceived by the structural engineer of record andrnevaluate the vibration potential. The study consisted of accurately modeling thernstructural system so that the dynamic behavior of the structure, such as the naturalrnfrequencies and natural modes of vibration, could be determined. This paper presentsrnthe results of the vibration study.
