Characteristics and suppression strategy of intercell interference in TD Trunking downlink

This paper studies the characteristics of inter-cell interference(ICI) in downlink of TD trunking system, analyzes its limit to the max available code channel resources in the same time slot and frequency band. The inefficacy of linear MUD is disguessed since the use of short scrambling code makes the crossrelation matrix singular. The impacts of several main factors to the performance of the downlink receiver are simulated, such as the number of neighboring cells, crossconrelation threshold, the distance to the desired cell, the load of neighbor cell, and relative path delay. The simulation results show that these factors have different effects on ICI and on the quality of downlink in TD trunking. Besides, typical MUD are compared in inter-cell model, and MMSE has good suppression against ICI.
