Simulation of Readiness Coefficient of FOCL with Temperature Actions on Optical Fibers

A method of reliability assessment of a fiber optical communication line (FOCL) is proposed taking into consideration the temperature actions on optical fibers. The reliability of the FOCL is estimated by a readiness coefficient. Theoretical studies are performed using Markov chain theory and probabilistic mathematical simulation. The accepted value of the readiness coefficient allows us to determine the maximum servicing interval for FOCL.
