This paper presents an approach for reducing the query response time for mobile emergence assistance applications through an ontology-based semantic cache model. The contribution is characterized for providing routines and medical protocol specifications for specialists using natural language, collecting elements from this language to develop an ontology for the domain and employing a semantic cache for an enhanced utilization of mobile devices. A prototype of the proposed system was implemented targeting at support specialists during a day-today basis. Early experiments adopting the query response time, as a metric for performance measurements, have proved to be successfully for emergency applications.
