The current-type live detection technology has been widely used in the state detection of power grid equipment. However, the manufacturing process of equipment from different manufacturers, the influence of on-site detection environment, and the operation and maintenance of instruments directly affect the performance of live detection equipment. Therefore, it is of great significance to carry out the verification and comparison test research on the performance of current-type live detection equipment. In this paper, the performance testing methods of lightning arrester live detector, transformer core ground current detector and capacitive equipment relative dielectric loss detector are studied. The testing principles and methods of resistive current measurement error, full current measurement error, reference voltage measurement error, basic error , measurement repeatability and anti-harmonic interference performance are given. A performance verification and comparison platform for current-type live detection equipment are established. Combined with the actual application situation on site, the performance parameters of detection equipment from different manufacturers are compared and analyzed. Through the comparison test on the performance for the current-type live detection equipment, an important basis is provided for the arrival acceptance and periodic verification of the lightning arrester live detector, transformer core grounding current detector and capacitive equipment relative dielectric loss detector.
