Polyaniline (PAN!) was synthesized by chemical oxidation method Polyaniline (PANI) was synthesized in the presence of ammonium persulfate as oxidant and para toluene sulfonic acid (PTSA) as dopant. In this study, fluorescence characteristics of polyaniline doped with PTSA in Dimethyl sulfoxide (DMSO) solvent is undertaken. The synthesized PTSA-PANI is characterized for its FESEM, X-RAY. The detection of quencher Picric acid is studied through the observed intense quenching of fluorescence signals in the emission spectra of the PTSA-PANI solution. The preparation of polymer solution is found to be 100 ppm in a 100 ppm solution of PTSA-PANI solution.
