Audiovisual Media Correlation with Group A Students' Storytelling Ability: A Study at TK Damhil, Gorontalo

This study's objective is to identify whether or not audiovisual media contributes to Group A students' storytelling ability in Kindergarten Damhil, Gorontalo. Employing correlational design, this quantitative research involves one class (Class A3) comprising 18 students as the research sample. Moreover, the data were collected quantitatively; the researchers provided a questionnaire regarding students' response to audiovisual media and observation sheets regarding students' storytelling ability. The questionnaire underwent a validity test by correlation product-moment and reliability test by Alpha Cronbach formula. The result shows that there is a positive and significant correlation of 0.36 between audiovisual media and students' storytelling ability. This indicates that a higher quality of audiovisual media results in higher achievement score of storytelling ability. Moreover, the audiovisual media contributes 36.00 percent towards students' storytelling ability, while the rest 64.00 percent is contributed by other factors. From the linear regression equation, it is obtained that ? = -9,51 + 0,33X with significance rate of 0.05%. Therefore, this study concludes that an increase in one score unit of audiovisual media is simultaneously followed by an increase of 0.33 unit of students' storytelling ability in constant of -9.51.
