Switchable H-Plane Tee to Bandpass Filter for Applications in C-Band

摘要

This paper describes a switchable H-plane tee which behaves as bandpass filter when the switch is OFF and equal power divider when the switch is ON. This paper is about switches, without changing the shape or dimension of the proposed structure the design can be switched from a power divider to a filter. Both the structures show a return loss of greater than -10 dB. When the proposed structure acts like H-plane Tee the power provided at input port is equally divided among two other ports in same phase & with same magnitude. When the proposed design is switched to filter, it shows a dual-band bandpass filter. The proposed H-plane Tee and bandpass filter has applications in C-band (4-8 GHz). The structure is simulated using IE3D software with substrate FR4.
