摘要

Three experimental methods employed for investigation of surface acoustic waves (SAW) were used to optimize a lithium niobate integrated optical TE-TM mode convertor. These were network analyzer measurements of interdigital transducers (IDTs), diffraction measurements at 532 nm, and fiber optic interferometery. The samples with five different configurations of IDTs were investigated. The methods give complementary data about SAW excitation, distribution, and interaction with light and can be efficiently used for optimization and quality control of different SAW devices.
