High blood pressure (BP) or hypertension is associated with various cardiovascular and chronic disease such as atherosclerosis, heart attack or failure, stroke and kidney disease. With the increasing statistic of cardiovascular disease patient each year, it is important to be able to detect whether the individual is susceptible to hypertension. The purpose of this study is to measure nocturnal BP without causing any disturbance to the user using Bitalino Plugged Revolution. Non-dippers (nocturnal BP less than ten percent of diurnal blood pressure) usually have the highest risk in developing hypertension. Heartbeat wave signals and blood volume pulse (BVP) signals are measured and stored in cloud in real time. These data will then be processed and through a series of algorithm, blood pressure is calculated.
