Quality of products in technological processes of machining significantly depends on the control level and automation. In its turn, the degree of automation is defined by a number of automated control function and management. Defining the controlling functional relations and development of the relations based algorithms for automated product quality control is a topical and important from the point of view of practice problem. The research work observes the issues of the control of tools machining processes by edge tool. It offers the examples of the problems solutions of the optimal control of lathe work and milling in one step at random allowance change. On the example of drilling, we observed the types of machining when a tool wear rate and cutting-force change even at unchanging parameters of cutting rate. The results of the research work can be used when developing the automated products quality control systems in technological processes of machining.
