Dye sensitized solar cells have the potential to be less expensive than their conventional silicone counterparts if they can be made more efficient and cost effective. A designed experiment was used to investigate the statistical significance of six factors in the construction and manufacture of these cells. Three factors, use of catalyst, semi-conductive layer, and sintering temperature, were determined to be of statistical significance, while no two-factor interactions were determined to be statistically significant.
