Even with the use of highly efficient machine, thernmanufacturing of rolling elements bearings still results inrndefective bearings. The defects could be on the race track or thernrolling elements. A common problem with defective bearing isrnthe generating waviness on the outer race track during thernmanufacturing process. The vibrations caused by rollingrnelements rolling over the waviness surface is transmitted to thernpassenger cabin and produced unwanted noise. In this paper anrnanalytical study was first undertaken to evaluate the effect ofrnwaviness number, radial gap and shaft unbalance on the vibrationrnspectrum. Experimental investigation was carried out to confirmrnthe analytical study. The experimental results agreed very wellrnwith the numerical analysis.
