摘要

The objective of this manuscript is to describe effect of surfactant in Superabsorbent. This superabsorbent composite was synthesized by graft copolymerization reaction of acrylic acid (AA) in the presence of N.N'-methylene bisacrylamide (MBA) as crosslinker. Water absorbencies of this superabsorbent composite in deionized water and saline solution were investigated. And results showed that the swelling ratio of SAP(Superabsorbent polymer) resin in deionized water was 800-1000 g/g and in NaCl solution reached 130-150 g/g. The superficial mechanism of this composite was observed by the scanning electron microscope (SEM). And the morphology of CMC-g-PAA hydrogel was observed by the transmission electron microscope (TEM). Water-absorbing mechanism was discussed.The role of surfactant played in the reaction was also described. To some extent, final structures and properties can be controlled by the concentration of surfactant.
