摘要

Owing to the advantages of minimal global warming potential with lower capital cost and energy consumptionrate, much attention has been paid in the investigation for the application of mixed refrigerants of HFOs andHFCs in refrigeration cycles by many researchers. This study presents the experimental analysis in the heattransfer characteristics of the mixed refrigerant R454C in the vertical plate heat exchanger. In this experiment,8 stainless steel plates of the plate type heat exchangers are used in the test section as a major component inwhich the refrigerant and water flows are arranged in the counter flow with the refrigerant flow channel in themiddle sandwiched by the two water flow channels from the outsides. The experiment was carried out in boththe condensation and evaporation modes with the mass fluxes of 10 and 50 kg/m~2s. In the test section, 20thermocouples are installed to measure the refrigerant wall temperatures, water side temperatures andsaturation temperature of the refrigerants in order to calculate the local heat transfer coefficients of the plate atdifferent positions.
