Competition principle is to "Select the superior and eliminate the inferior, the survival of the fittest" (citation). Firm resources are the foundation and source of competitive advantage (CA), the competitive advantage is the cornerstone of firm survival and development. This paper argues that the tangible resources (TR) are required, is the foundation of firm survival and development. The intangible resources (IR) are built on the basis of physical resources, the firm capabilities (FC) are built on the basis of tangible and intangible resources. The competitive advantage is built on the basis of firm resources.
