New Solutions in the Technology of Making Fuel Element Shell Tubes of Zirconium Alloys

摘要

One of the preemptive trends in Ukrainian power industry and economics as a whole is supplying nuclear power plants with domestic nuclear fuel [1]. Manufacture of fuel element (FE) shell tubes of zirconium alloys is part and parcel of creation of a national nuclear fuel cycle. Till recently, FE shell tubes of zirconium alloys have never been produced in Ukraine. The technology of making such tubes belongs to high-end technologies both in theory and practice of the tube industry.
