Automatic finishing line in NSTM JSC cold tube rolling shop including equipment for straightening, grinding, non-destructive testing and cutting 12-60 mm diameter tubes has an average annual capacity of approximately 8,000 tons. The heart of the new line will be 100% hydrogen bright annealing furnace with a capacity of 2 tons per hour. The main advantage of the new furnace is exact temperature control in the heating and cooling zones realized by the modern technology of thyristor controlled electrical heating with the use of ceramic radiant tubes. To achieve high cooling rates which are important for optimal quality of austenitic and duplex steel grades, so-called Jet Cooler will be installed with a set of gas nozzles concentrating the high-velocity cooling gas stream onto the tube surface.
